Team8: Eat, Play, Chat. - Review of 2011
Review of team8 - Who are we, actually?
“What is Team8?” - This is a question I had always been asked. So, in this article I want to review what Team8 did in 2011 and hope it would give you an answer.
2011 had been a great year for us.
At the beginning of 2011, there is a Mochitsuki event lead by Taka and attended by over 80 people, together we ate, we hit, we chatted, and we jumped.
Two days before the earthquake we were recognized as the most achieved project under Tsukuba Action Project (T-ACT) and we celebrated together with the Hinamatsuri event.
April, we published the Imagination issue. It featured Tsukuba’s Alumna, Ishigawa Ayaka interview from New York by Sachiyo. At the same time that we enjoy the beautiful Sakura blossoms, we pray together for Japan.
May, we got a bit of the taste of Uzbekistan traditional food that used to serve on Wedding. Thanks Camilla and Jannat! Weeks later, Yujin & her friend cooked the famous Korean Toppoki for us.
In the great weather of June, Team8 held a 70 person BBQ and summer camp in Yukari-no-mori. Again, we run, we jumped, we played, we ate, we chatted.
July, is the new season of departure and moving on, we threw a farewell party to celebrate a new stage of our friendship.
Summer left and turned Fall, it is another great time to spend outdoor, we had a picnic and a Yakiimo event under the gorgeous sun and the gifted nature of Tsukuba. Again, we ate, we chatted, we played.
We ended the year by holding a workshop to introduce Japanese New year for International student, guess what we did in the workshop?
Yes, we ate, we played, and we chatted.
So, I guess if Team8 going to be a book title, I will named it,
Eat, Play, Chat.
